Brú (Irish Gaelic for to impel or push forward)- is a Porto-based four piece Irish traditional music group. Hailing from Ireland, Brazil and Turkey, each member their own experience pinache and expertise in their approach to the Irish music tradition. Brú explores the language of traditional Celtic musics- from Scotland to Bretagne to Galicia and back to Ireland- and beyond. Their live performances alternate between energetic and sentient rythms and melodies, solo perfomances and various tune types that constitute the Irish musical tradition.
